How much does a personal injury lawyer cost in California?
Nothing up front. Apex works on contingency: our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you, and if we don’t win, you owe us nothing.
How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in California?
Generally two years from the date of injury (Code of Civil Procedure §335.1). If a city, county or state agency is involved, you must file a government claim within six months. Evidence disappears faster than that — call early.
What if the accident was partly my fault?
You can still recover. California uses pure comparative negligence: your compensation is reduced by your share of fault, not eliminated. Several of our largest results were cases the insurer first called our client’s fault.
Should I talk to the other driver’s insurance company?
No. You’re not required to give a recorded statement, and anything you say can be used to lower your claim. Refer them to us. From the day you hire Apex, that call is our job.
Do I need a lawyer for a minor car accident?
If you were hurt, yes. “Minor impact” is what insurers call the claims they underpay. One of our rear-end cases with no surgery settled for $1 million. The review is free — you lose nothing by asking.
